SPITEFALL

Changelog

Development versions. Nothing here has shipped; the numbers are what the build reports about itself, and this page is checked against the game's own version so the two cannot drift apart.

0.1.0 — in development

The first version with a name. What works:

  • A fixed-step simulation with its own collision, so a replay of a run is the run.
  • Twenty-two kinds of trap, each with an announcement that has to clear a 100 ms floor.
  • The death replay: your attempt played back slowly with the missed warning ringed.
  • Touch controls that can be moved and resized, and controller support.
  • Assists — slow motion, extra coyote time, longer warnings — free and always available.
  • A skip that asks twice and never happens on its own.
  • A daily challenge that needs no server and cannot repeat itself inside its window.
  • Ten warning sounds, synthesised, measured against each other for distinctness.
  • One hundred and twenty rooms across six worlds. Some climb, some drop, some are played right to left, and each has a recorded run proving it can be finished.
  • A main menu, a pause menu carrying the assists, and progress that saves itself.

What does not: five of the six worlds still share one set of stone, and the level editor is for 1.1.
